Painter's Delight 7 x 9

This artwork is part of my Intuition series. I created these artworks using materials I don't often use (or didn't at the time); tissue paper and watercolor. I wanted to push myself to let go of control, experiment, and play with art the way my younger self would have. The result was surprising– I loved the imperfections and messiness. I loved the colors that I intuitively reached for and the steady calm I felt while creating these works, removed from the pressure to "make something good" and just play instead. These 4 artworks are best purchased as a set because of the beautiful way they all speak to each other and balance together. They are stunning in a living room or another warm corner of the house.
