Severini Wysteria 8.25 x 6

This small pastel painting has a special place in my heart. The Severini building was part of the small campus where I studied abroad in Cortona, Italy in 2011. Captivated by the textures of the walls and the romance of the wysteria hanging overhead, I snapped a photo and years later used it as a reference for this painting. I can still remember the feeling of standing there, still trying to fully grasp that I was really living this dream in Italy!
