Midnight Glow 12 x 9

This original Alcohol Ink painting is part of my Dreamscapes collection. This group of artwork is about quick creation without worrying about perfection. There isn't time to be perfect anyway, the medium dries very quickly and is really difficult to control, forcing me to be in the moment, enjoy the process, and play. With this piece, I wanted to capture the feeling of standing under the night sky on a winter night. I used the deep ultramarine to contrast flickers of bright colors to imply the northern lights or perhaps the glow of a city in the distance.
