Arctic Adventure 12 x 9

This original Alcohol Ink painting is part of my Dreamscapes collection. This group of artwork is about quick creation without worrying about perfection. There isn't time to be perfect anyway, the medium dries very quickly and is really difficult to control, forcing me to be in the moment, enjoy the process, and play. The blues, greens, and earth tones in this piece feel very peaceful and grounding to me. It feels like a magical evening in the arctic, with the sky lit up with color. The sky was created by blowing the wet ink with compressed air. Silver ink was used to create the shimmering water surface. I wear gloves when working with Alcohol Ink as the pigments are highly staining.

This artwork is sold matted and framed without glass as seen in the images. The frame is a beautiful navy blue with matte finish.
