Nomadic Dreams 12 x 9

This original Alcohol Ink painting is part of my Dreamscapes collection. This group of artwork is about quick creation without worrying about perfection. There isn't time to be perfect anyway, the medium dries very quickly and is really difficult to control, forcing me to be in the moment, enjoy the process, and play. In this semi-abstract painting, I gently imply a landscape of some sort and allow the viewer to decide whether it’s a sand dune, pond, mountains, wildfire, or something else. I enjoy creating works that require the viewer to interact with the piece to decide what he or she sees. We all bring our own stories and past to an artwork that influence what we see, and I like to celebrate that.
