Ocean Rush 12 x 9

This original Alcohol Ink painting is part of my Dreamscapes collection. This group of artwork is about quick creation without worrying about perfection. There isn't time to be perfect anyway, the medium dries very quickly and is really difficult to control, forcing me to be in the moment, enjoy the process, and play. I usually create mountain landscapes when I use Alcohol Ink, but with this piece I wanted to try something different. What came out was this moody ocean scene, with a heavy wave crashing onto silvery sand. It reminds me of a long walk on a winter beach when it isn't about summery fun but instead reflective and contemplative time letting the rhythm of nature work at the bits of you most hidden away.
