Sky Alive 14 x 11

This original Alcohol Ink painting is part of my Dreamscapes collection. This group of artwork is about quick creation without worrying about perfection. There isn't time to be perfect anyway, the medium dries very quickly and is really difficult to control, forcing me to be in the moment, enjoy the process, and play. If this is what polar bears see in the northern night sky, then I finally understand what's good about the cold! Violets, teals, and fuschias seem to dance in the sky and colorful mountains sit happily below. A reflective lake at the bottom is shimmering with silver pigment that corresponds to the silver details dripping from the mountains above. This piece is sure to turn a quiet corner into a happy, feel-good nook.
